Fabrication & Erection Practices
This module introduces students to key aspects of the fabrication process standards, ensuring accuracy, safety, and quality in the preparation of steel components. It also covers essential erection process guidelines, highlighting best practices for assembling and installing steel structures on-site. Additionally, learners will gain a thorough understanding of various steel member types and their uses, including beams, columns, angles, and channels—each serving a specific function in structural frameworks.
Connection & Welding
This module focuses on the critical aspects of connection detailing, where students learn to create precise and secure joints between steel members. Emphasis is placed on understanding welding standards and symbols, enabling learners to interpret and apply correct welding techniques in structural drawings. The training also includes code-based detailing practices, ensuring all designs adhere to industry-recognized standards and regulatory guidelines for safety, durability, and structural integrity.
Drawings & Materials
In this module, students will learn to address project-specific detailing requirements, tailoring drawings to meet unique structural and client specifications. The course emphasizes accurate material identification and callouts, teaching how to label and specify components clearly for fabrication and construction. This module equips students with essential detailing tools and techniques used in the preparation of accurate and professional structural drawings. Learners will gain familiarity with industry detailing standards, including widely recognized codes such as AISC and IS Codes, ensuring their work meets both national and international quality benchmarks. Additionally, the course highlights common detailing errors to avoid, helping students build precision-driven habits and reduce costly mistakes in real-world projects.
Eligibility & Duration:
This course is ideal for candidates with a B.E., Diploma, or ITI in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, along with a basic knowledge of steel detailing. The program includes 1 month of practical, hands-on training.
