Introduction & STAAD Pro Basics
The course begins with an Introduction to Structural Engineering, providing a clear understanding of fundamental concepts such as loads, supports, and structural behavior. Learners are then guided through getting started with STAAD Pro, including interface navigation and project setup. The module also covers essential model generation techniques, enabling students to create accurate structural models using nodes, beams, and geometry tools within the STAAD Pro environment.
Structural Modeling & Analysis
This module introduces students to essential structural modeling tools in STAAD Pro, enabling efficient creation and manipulation of structural elements. It also covers various support systems and guides learners on proper material assignments based on project requirements. Additionally, students will learn how to apply different types of loads and perform accurate structural analysis, ensuring the model’s stability and compliance with engineering standards.
Design & Advanced Techniques
This section introduces Finite Element Modeling (FEM) in STAAD Pro, allowing for precise simulation of complex structural behavior through meshing and advanced analysis. Students will also learn concrete design techniques based on industry standards, along with performing code checks to ensure structural compliance with relevant design codes such as IS, ACI, or Eurocode.
Project Application & Assessment
The course concludes with live project work, where students apply their STAAD Pro skills to real-world structural design scenarios. This hands-on experience is followed by an assessment and certification, validating their proficiency. The training is designed to ensure real-world use, preparing learners for practical application in the field of structural engineering and design.
