What You’ll Learn
Introduction & Model Creation
The course begins with getting started with ETABS, where students are introduced to the software’s environment and setup process. Learners will gain hands-on experience in navigating the interface and using RCC-specific tools, essential for efficient workflow. The module also focuses on modeling RCC structures, enabling students to create accurate structural models of concrete buildings using real-world design parameters.
Loading & Analysis Techniques
This module covers the process of defining structural loads, including dead loads, live loads, wind, and seismic forces, based on relevant codes and project requirements. Students will then learn to analyze structural behavior using ETABS, gaining insights into how structures respond to applied loads through deflection, bending, shear, and overall stability analysis.
Design & Detailing
In this module, students will learn design and reinforcement detailing for RCC elements such as beams, columns, and slabs, ensuring compliance with relevant building codes. The course also covers the process of creating structural drawings directly from ETABS, including layout plans and reinforcement schedules. Additionally, learners will gain expertise in seismic and wind load design, understanding how to apply dynamic loads and design structures that can withstand environmental forces effectively.
Project Execution & Documentation
The course culminates with real-time project implementation, where students apply their ETABS knowledge to model, analyze, and design a complete building structure. They will also learn report generation and documentation, including detailed calculation reports, design summaries, and project documentation essential for professional submissions and client presentations.
Eligibility & Duration:
Open to B.E. / B.Tech / M.Tech graduates and Diploma holders in Civil & Mechanical Engineering. This is a 2-month course with practical training for real-world application.
